Craig M. Silvers, CFA, is the founder and CEO of Bricks & Mortar Capital, LLC, a registered investment adviser. He has two children attending City School and a third child that will start in 2015. Mr. Silvers manages a real estate-focused hedge fund as well as individual accounts. Prior to forming Bricks & Mortar, he was a Managing Director and Equity Analyst at Sutro & Co./Tucker Anthony Sutro, overseeing the real estate equities research group, during which time he was recognized by The Wall Street Journal as an All-Star Analyst. Also, Craig was an Equity Analyst at Crowell, Weedon & Co., and before that was a Compliance Examiner for the National Association of Securities Dealers, and a research associate at First Equity Group, a real estate development firm.
He has been quoted in media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, Barron’s, and the Los Angeles Times. He is currently Treasurer of Friends of Overland, the fundraising body for Overland Avenue Elementary School, and Education Seat Alternate on the Westside Neighborhood Council. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
